beer

our beer is made by our long-standing friends at 40FT brewery. independent brewers based in dalston, they started out brewing from a 40ft shipping container [hence the name] at a similar time smokestak started trading in dalston yard. the relationship was forged and the rest is history.

Over the last nine years, 40FT brewery has grown organically by adding more shipping containers to their yard, an award-winning taproom and is widely recognised as a leading craft beer brewery in east London.

40ft disco pills

german-style pilsner. brewed with lager malt only, straw to pale in colour with a clean and crisp biscuit finish, a light floral hop and medium bitterness. notes of green fruits and melon on the nose.

40ft Dalston sunrise

hazy pale ale. full-bodied with a malt bill of wheat, oats and malted barley giving it a hazy appearance. there is little to no bitterness as hops have been added only at the end of the brewing process giving it a fruit forward aroma and flavour

lucky saint

we also serve this low alcohol lager - 0.5% abs [not from 40ft brewery]. each of their bottles are adorned with a centuries-old sign of good luck, their golden ladybird. the beer is made in a traditional brewery in bavaria.

the name summarises the journey of the founder in creating this product: lucky [acknowledging the luck it takes to get a great idea off the ground] & saint [a wry nod to the virtuousness of drinking alcohol-free]
